Founded in 2019 by Rachael Shagott, Best Practice Quality LLC is a consulting firm focused on helping clients with compliance, product safety, and quality within the consumer goods industry. Whether in children’s products, childcare articles, dietary supplements, food, electronics, sporting goods, or other consumer products, the Best Practice Quality team has the expertise and knowledge to solve client issues and provide clear direction for optimal solutions. Rachael Shagott is the founder and Principal Consultant of Best Practice Quality LLC. She possesses boundless energy as she strives to work passionately on behalf of client companies. Her expertise guides client teams to navigate challenges ranging from increasingly complex global regulatory oversight, development of in-house regulatory and quality management system capabilities, and cradle to cradle product support from Risk Management to Product Recalls.
Rachael is an icon within the quality and regulatory communities. She is well networked and able to build teams tailored to meet clients’ specific needs. She actively mentors other professionals and has taught upper-level Global Business at Grand Canyon University as an adjunct professor. Rachael was awarded ASTM’s Margaret Dana lifetime achievement award for her contributions to product safety. Rachael is involved with ASTM, sitting on several F15 Sub-Committees including Chair and Task Group Leadership positions. She sits on the JPMA Certification Committee and has participated as a volunteer, panelist and ICPHSO member at annual ICPHSO Symposiums. She also was a founding leader-member of the Society of Product Licensors Committed To Excellence (SPLiCE).
Rachael has over 40 years of experience in Product Integrity, Supplier Quality Assurance, Product Safety, and Regulatory Compliance, she has expertise in ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems, ISO 17025 Laboratory Management Systems, and various other Quality / Compliance programs. She has worked closely with the CPSC, FDA, and more than 100 international vendors. Rachael holds a variety of ASQ certifications including Audit (CQA, CMDA), Engineering (CQE, CRE), Quality Management CQM/OE), and Six Sigma (CSSGB). She has also held the position of Certified Reliability Engineering Exam Chair at ASQ (American Society of Quality). Rachael graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Management Engineering Technology from SUNY Buffalo State College and an MBA from Canisius College in Buffalo NY. She earned certificates in Statistics, Six Sigma, and Consumer Product Safety Management.
Rachael resides in the greater Phoenix area. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, skiing, and traveling the world.
Chris Gulbrandsen, CPSP has held a variety of product safety, compliance, and quality positions over the past 15 years working on all types of consumer products. He is a Certified Product Safety Professional who enjoys crafting efficient compliance and quality plans to ensure the best customer experience.
He began his career working hands-on at testing labs. Since then, he has managed and led compliance and quality teams for apparel, arts and crafts, children’s toys, children’s products, cosmetics, juvenile products, pet products, and other consumer goods. His career has taken him around the world working with factories, distributors, and suppliers on multiple continents. As a member of the International Consumer Products Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO), ASTM, and the Society of Product Safety Professionals, he enjoys presenting best practices at trade shows and leading groups in developing safety standards to improve consumer safety.
Chris earned his bachelor’s in History from Franklin & Marshall College before beginning his product safety adventure. He later earned a certificate in Consumer Product Safety Management before becoming a Certified Product Safety Professional. In his free time, he enjoys playing several instruments, rock climbing, hiking, and designing and building custom furniture.
Sudeshna Yadiv Gundeboina has more than six years of experience in ensuring food quality and safety with certifications in cGMP, HACCP, SQF, PCQI, FSVP, ServSafe, and GFSI. Dedicated to simplifying the complex world of food safety, she guides clients following regulations and implementing best practices while leading crisis management and continuous improvement efforts.
Sudeshna’s roles include conducting inspections, developing comprehensive training programs, and offering expert testimony. Her career highlights include leading regulatory compliance programs, FDA audits, managing supplier quality, and maintaining food safety programs. She is an expert and brings a wealth of expertise and best practices in nutrition labeling, sensory testing, and mock audits.
Sudeshna’s international journey began with earning Master’s degrees in Food Science and Nutrition Dietetics from Chapman University in California and the National Institute of Nutrition in Hyderabad, India. Residing in Charlotte, North Carolina, she enjoys reading, outdoor yoga, traveling, exploring diverse cuisines, cooking plant-based recipes, and singing and dancing to Bollywood music with her husband and son.

Kylee Rogers has a background in food products, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and OTC products. Kylee has been auditing global manufacturing facilities since 2013 to identify regulatory and compliance gaps as both a customer and third-party consultant auditor. She holds Certified Quality Auditor and Certified Supplier Quality Professional certifications with American Society for Quality (ASQ) and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification with ASQ. She currently serves as the Co-Chair for the ASQ NextGen Global Advocacy Sub-Committee.
Kylee earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University. She is actively involved in several ASTM F-15 Subcommittees; serving in the roles of task group leader and subcommittee member in a multitude of product categories such as play yards, dog toys, infant wearable blankets, crib mattresses, and toys. With two young children of her own, Kylee has a particular fondness for child safety. She is a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and participates on the boards of her local Safe Kids and Safe Kids County organizations doing car seat checks and community education. Kylee enjoys writing and playing tabletop games, painting and learning new crafts, and is a secret comic book nerd.
